Step-by-Step Guide: Updating OrderTab on a DataCap PAX Device
Step 1: Close the OrderTab App
You must fully close OrderTab before updating it.
Option A: Using Android Navigation (if available)
Check if the Android Square (Recent Apps) button is visible and clickable.
Tap the square button.
Swipe or close OrderTab from the recent apps list.
Option B: Close OrderTab from Inside the App (if Android button is not available)
Log in to the Table Screen in OrderTab.
Tap Connection Settings.
Change the view to the Tab section.
Scroll down.
Tap the Close button within the OrderTab UI.
Step 2: Exit the DataCap Payment App (If Blocking the Home Screen)
After closing OrderTab, the DataCap payment app may appear and prevent access to the home screen.
Double-press the Android Back button.
A password prompt will appear.
Enter the exit password:
pax9876@@
You should now be able to access the Android Home Screen.
Step 3: Launch PayLoader
From the Home Screen, open the PayLoader app.
Tap Codes.
Enter the OrderTab update code for the latest version.
Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the update.
Step 4: Verify the Update (Recommended)
Once the update completes, reopen OrderTab.
Confirm the app launches normally.
Verify the version number matches the expected latest release.
